The Los Angeles Times used FOIA to obtain results of an Army probe into anthrax contamination detected in 2002 at the Army Medical Research Institute of Infectious Diseases at Fort Detrick, Md. Investigators, who did not find the origin of anthrax spore leaks, blamed the leaks on a chaotic environment, the cavalier attitudes of researchers and sloppiness.
