Summary: | The Tucson, Ariz.-based Center for Biological Diversity used FOIA to obtain documents it says show that Department of Interior officials ordered Fish and Wildlife biologists to manipulate science in an effort to move ahead with a plan to remove Arizona bald eagles from protection afforded under the Endangered Species Act. The center wants the Arizona eagles to be considered a population separate from bald eagles in the rest of the country, and has forwarded the documents obtained under FOIA to the Justice Department, requesting an investigation. | ||
